I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I received a B.S. degree from Sharif University of Technology, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology, all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. My research focuses on the mathematical analysis of communication systems, in particular, Error Control Coding, Wireless Networks, and Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks.  I received an NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award, an Outstanding Junior Faculty Award from UMass, and an Outstanding Graduate Research Award from Georgia Tech.
