Adam O'Neill is excited to be moving to UMass Amherst from Georgetown University in January 2019.  He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department and has also held a visiting faculty position in the Cryptographic Technology Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. 

Professor O'Neill's research interests are in foundations of practical cryptography and how it relates to other fields such as security, databases, networking, and policy.
