New England Hardware Security Day (NEHWS) Held at Northeastern University

Faculty members and students from UMass Amherst participated in the annual New England Hardware Security Day (NEHWS), held in April at Northeastern University. NEHWS serves as a platform for hardware security experts in the New England region to collaborate, network, and exchange knowledge. UMass Amherst made a strong impression throughout the program. Professor Daniel Holcomb of UMass ECE assumed the role of program chair, while UMass ECE alumni Xiaolin Xu, now a professor at Northeastern, served as the local chair, and former UMass CS Professor Kevin Fu, now at Northeastern, delivered a keynote address. UMass Amherst MS students Max Cohen Hoffing and Jonah O'Brien Weiss, under the guidance of Professors Wayne Burleson and Sandip Kundu respectively, were honored with prizes in the graduate poster competition. NEHWS attracts participants from renowned institutions such as MIT, WPI, Harvard, and Yale, as well as representatives from leading industry companies. The annual workshop rotates among different universities in New England, with UMass Amherst proudly hosting the previous year's successful event.
